I kinda hope you see this but this site is using your house with the powerwall set up as their picture: https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-reduces-solar-home-battery-pricing-following-california-blackouts/

I got to ask... Did you figure interest that you are NOT getting all those years on that $22,000? That's $1500 a year? at 7% You will never pay back that investment? Am I missing something?

Jeeeeeez $32.000 for that (without credit) in 2018 ? IF IT DIDN'T CARRY TESLA LABELS it would cost $9.000 or so. Seriously, $32k is absolutely absolutely insane, no wonder their business was hit by some serious punch this year. They need to wake up, no matter how you love 'em. They don't provide anything that competitors don't have... besides the name. Considering the market reception, that's not enough anymore.

cool, so you spent $32, 462 on solar. and the warranties last about as long as the time you will approx recoup your investment. seems nice until it all needs to be replaced about the time you may, or may not break even. i thought about setting up my own solar, however since i am much older, i could not see where i would ever recoup my investment even going on the cheap. i like the ideas of going green, but it just has not advanced enough to where it it worth it in the long run. i am very curious to see videos from people who invested money in solar years ago made out and if it is a viable option. seems like with any new technology, they charge was so much money, that by the time the warranties run out, the companies are usually long out of business. i wish you the best

12 year pay back? thats brutal. The warranty is over by then, if something goes wrong, which is inevitable, then another cost.

One thing to consider in your time to pay off is that you are assuming that over those 12 years the cost of electricity won't increase.

If the power company owes you money you should take them to collections and have them pay you with interest and late fees just how they screw all of us. Send them a bill every week.

Everything degrades and goes downhill fast. Lithium batteries start to go bad after 4 or 8 years. Solar panels start to degrade almost immediately losing on average 5% generation per year. Recently Walmart demand Tesla remove all their solar panels because they are causing fires.

Huh? The Tesla Powerwall is guaranteed for 10 years which means you may have to replace your batteries after that time, at great cost. But you said, it will take you 15 years to pay the whole system off. By then you will have had to replace the batteries and probably do other repairs. Starting to sound like false economy.

If your inverter can handle more power the LTO cells can sustain a higher load than the Tesla cells and they last much longer only problem is I've never used them so I am not speaking out of experience and I don't know where to get them, maybe a chance for me in the long run? I vote for the before and after cleaning video.
